A rainy day, it was cold in late November

A narrow street, an old house, a small room

There I sat with you, we had some coffee at your window

until I had to go and take the last bus home

Home is not a place,

not a town or country side

It's just a space to hide

I need someone by my side

Home is in my mind

I can go there any time

when a space to hide

is all it takes to feel alright

Well, in those times I dreamed about forever

I thougt we'd both might walk some easy way

But I had to learn you would deny my deep belonging

So I turned around to take the last bus home

Home is not a place,

not a town or country side

It's just a space to hide

I need someone by my side

Home is in my mind

I can go there any time

when a space to hide

is all it takes to feel alright

It's the graveyard of my dreams

that I visit now and then

on some long November evenings on my own

Then I feel the need to play

and it's good to end the day

with some songs and some reflections
